The Christchurch School of Music is seeking a co-ordinator for its Outreach Band Programme which is held in primary schools across Christchurch. Preference will be given to a person who could also teach a band instrument in the programme (flute, clarinet, saxophone, trumpet, trombone, French horn, guitar, percussion) to primary school aged children.
The role is a flexible one requiring approximately 240-260 hours of administration a year, depending on enrolment numbers. Any teaching will be over and above that.
If you have great people skills, are well organised, love working with young children, are passionate about the value of music in children’s lives then this could be the job for you.
It will initially be a one year fixed term contracted position. Remuneration will be dependent on the successful applicant’s experience and qualifications
Applications close on Friday 6 December at 10pm. Please email CSM’s Music Director on musdir@csm.org.nz with your expression of interest and you will be sent the application pack.
