As part of the 2018 Kidsfest the CSM is providing a week long holiday programme from 9am – 3pm each day. In this holiday programme each of the children will learn some basics on an orchestral instrument – either a flute, clarinet, violin, cello or trumpet. They will join together to play some simple ensemble pieces and enjoy the process of group music making,

There will be some singing, lots of playing on percussion instruments, musicianship activities, movement and some quiet reading of musical stories. There will be some exciting music related art and craft activities and each day they will be entertained and educated by some of Christchurch’s top musicians.

An exciting and challenging week of education and care managed by trained teachers and musicians.

Children will be expected to attend each day and bring their own lunch. Morning tea will be provided.
