A short, fast-paced concert showing the recorder from its earliest beginnings, (historically and developmentally), covering the solo descant, through its progression to other sizes of recorder, (9 in total from 15 cm short to 2 metres long!)

A set of Renaissance recorders and crummhorns, add colour and history to a much misunderstood instrument.
Solo duo, trio, quartet, quintet, 4ft and 8 ft consorts all fitted into half an hour or so of pieces, designed to show how it moves from “toy” to a beginner’s first instrument, to advanced consort playing.

All helped along by pithy verses that keep the presentation tight and focused.

Ideal for all ages form toddler to grandparent!
