Back to Bach – Camerata Strings, conductor Patrick Shepherd

This programme focuses almost exclusively on the music of JS Bach, with the jewel in the crown being the evergreen Brandenburg Concerto no.3 in G major. Mozart’s Divertimento no.1 takes us briefly into the classical period. Other works featured include Bach’s ”Little Fugue” in G minor, the Prelude in D Major BWV 589 and Fugue in D minor (from “The Art of Fugue”). Graeme Koehne’s beautiful homage to Bach, “To His Servant Bach”, concludes the concert.
