Christchurch School of Music

Take Off with Music

CSM offers preschool and primary classes which are based on the Orff-Schulwerk approach to music education.
Every session is carefully planned to help children experience music through singing, dancing, clapping games, poetry and stories which will stimulate their imagination, as well as teach musical skills. Children will improvise, compose and invent their own music, and learn to read and write music in a fun and exciting way. Ensemble skills are developed through the use of recorders and a variety of percussion instruments.

Regular visits by our instrumental tutors and students will introduce children to the wide variety of instruments offered at CSM . This not only develops listening skills and musical knowledge, but also helps your child in choosing the right instrument and thus beginning the journey towards a lifelong love of music.
