Due to the availability of rooms at Catholic Cathedral College and Marian College, CHristchurch School of Music classes will now start on Monday 13th February, with the first Saturday classes and orchestras on 18th February.

Enrolments for 2012 classes and ensembles are now open. Please enrol early to ensure your place. Enrolment forms can be downloaded from the "enrolment" page on this website.

Hello everyone!

The Christchurch School of Music Office is moving to a new permanent location. From tomorrow (Wednesday) we will be at Unit 4, 235 Waltham Rd, just over the overbridge. Phone number and PO Box remain the same - 366 1711 and PO Box 22245.

Showcase - This week there are several concerts happening as part of our showcase festival.

If you or your children are in a concert please bring your own music stand (and don't forget your music and instrument).

Wednesday has jazz happening at the Chch Boys High School Hall 7pm (entrance to the hall is up the main steps of the school via Te Kura Street) - gold coin donation.

Thursday at Rangi Ruru School Theatre is the Chamber Music, Piano and Vocal recital. Concert starts at 7pm.

Friday are the Bands and Ensembles at Cashmere High School. The concert starts at 7pm so performers should be there between 6 and 6.30 to prepare. If anyone is willing to help set up chairs, we will be doing that between 5.45 and 6.15pm and would very much appreciate any help!

Sunday is the orchestras at the Jack Mann auditorium at the University of Canterbury's Dovedale Ave Campus.

There are rehearsals in the afternoon so please attend these if you are performing in the evening.

This concert starts at 6pm so performers should be there and ready by 5.30pm

Just a quick update to let everyone know that on this Saturday 10th September we are unable to rehearse Sinfonia in the CBHS Big Room due to a school event in the afternoon. Sinfonia members are invited to attend 11am-12noon for a combined ISO/Sinfonia rehearsal in the Big Room.
