Christchurch School of MusicCSM Support Trust
The CSM Support Trust was established in 2006 to assist and support major future long term projects that the CSM embarks upon.
In addition, the CSM Support Trust endeavours to assist current students in financial need.
A donation of as little as $20 to the CSM Support Trust can help buy someone a music stand, a new set of strings or a much needed new piece of music. If you would like to make a one-time donation our Membership & Donations Secretary, Sandra Smith, would love to hear from you:
sandra.david@xtra.co.nz
If you would like to be part of our longer term support please consider becoming a CSM Support Trust Member (see below for full details).
Latest donation
Tim Herbert, one of our very enthusiastic CSM adult students, has generously donated a pair of fine German Uebel clarinets to the CSM Support Trust. These top quality wooden instruments are for the use of our advanced clarinet students. The Bb clarinet has been loaned to the very talented 13 year old Mario de Jong for as long as he is a student at the CSM.
The A clarinet will be played in the CYO and in chamber music groups. A very big thank you to Tim for his support of the CSM.
The CSM Support Trust Janet and John Emeleus Annual Scholarship
This scholarship was established as a result of a generous donation from the CSM Patron John Emeleus and from 2010 will be used to enable a new student who has a passion for music but who is financially disadvantaged to enrol at the CSM.
The CSM Support Trust Don Whelan Clarinet Scholarship
This scholarship was donated by a Support Trust Member for a talented and committed CSM student to receive eight free lessons with Mark Walton in 2010.
If you would like to establish a scholarship to honour someone who has made a great impact on you or your family or in remembrance of a past member of your family please contact Mark Walton.
The smallest of donations to the CSM Support Trust really does make a difference and of course as we are a registered as a charity with the Charities Commission your donations are tax deductible.
2010 Fundraising Concerts
The CSM Support Trust organises three fundraising concerts each year that feature CSM staff and current and past students. If you are a past student who would like to perform in one of the 2010 concerts Mark Walton would love to hear from you:
