Robert Tait

Robert Tait has served CSM for over 15 years in various roles, including conductor of the then CSM Orchestra Primo, and currently Violin Tutor (Traditional) as well as supervisor of the CSM's Outreach Music Service (OMS) and member of the Music Management Team. 

Robert serves the wider music community as a councillor of the Christchurch Civic Music Council; as Communications Councillor for the Royal School of Church Music NZ (and their webmaster); as Director of Music of Apollo Musicum (comprising: AMCO - its chamber orchestra; AMAC - its a cappella choir; leader of ASQ - Apollo String Quartet); as Director of Music and composer of the original music (and performer with other Apollo players) for Top Dog Theatre's annual outdoor Shakespeare plays at Mona Vale each February March; as a Cathedral of the Blessed Sacrament Choir chorister and orchestral player; as a composer/arranger; as a music recordist and video (documentaries) sound trackist. He is CEO of a small publishing company (specialising in technical editing of instruction manuals etc., student doctoral theses and also music scores); Robert designs and manages websites. 

In his spare time he cycles, plays table tennis, chess, contract/duplicate bridge and compiles crosswords.  His daily diary is written in verse.
