Nick studied Music at the Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. A violinist with considerable experience in orchestral playing, he has played with the Auckland Chamber Orchestra and was orchestral leader of the Nottingham Philharmonic Orchestra in the UK. He has conducted youth orchestras at both regional and school level and also conducts the Garden City Orchestra here in Christchurch. He currently teaches Music at Christ's College, with special responsibility for instrumental music.
