Christchurch School of MusicNeville started his professional life as a primary school teacher with a specialist interest in music. He followed his talents in woodwind playing into secondary schools, where he is an itinerant teacher of woodwind and joint coordinator of The Christchurch Itinerant Teachers of Music. He is also a Moderator for the Teaching Forum of the International Double Reed Society.
Neville's principal performance and teaching instruments are bassoon and recorder, but he also plays an amazing variety of other early woodwind instruments, such as crummhorn, shawm, dulcian, gemshorn, cornetto, three-holed pipe and baroque flageolet.
Neville is conductor at CSM of Sinfonia and the Christchuch Youth Recorder Ensemble.
