The piano is the most versatile of instruments and the CSM is proud to have two fine Yamaha and Kawai grand pianos and a harpsichord.

Tuition is available for people of all ages, from beginners to advanced levels, with one of our experienced tutors. Preparation is offered for exam, competition and performance work. More advanced students have the opportunity to join the CSM’s renowned Chamber Music programme. Lessons are held on weekday afternoons. Membership of the Piano Club is included in the enrolment. Piano Club meets monthly and provides informal performance opportunities with other students and parents. A formal concert is held at the end of the year. 

Playing the piano has many challenges. Developing the required coordination and reading skills means students must have regular access to a piano at home. Parents are welcome to attend lessons.
