A Big Band consists of trumpet, trombone and saxophone sections which are driven along by a rhythm section consisting of piano, guitar, bass and drums. Vocalists and percussionists can also be members. 

The Big Band performs a wide variety of jazz, rock, pop and funk arrangements. No previous experience of these styles is needed but members are usually in their 3rd year of playing or later. Emphasis is placed on sectional work, improving reading skills, improvisation and learning standard jazz repertoire. A grand piano, guitar & bass amps, and a drum kit are available for use at our rehearsal venue.
