This is the website of the Christchurch School of Music (CSM).

Acknowledgements

The site was built using the voluntary efforts of CSM students, parents, and friends. The CSM is especially grateful to

• the Drupal community for making its website content management software freely available
• Lynley Cook for taking most of the feature photographs.

Purpose

The intention is that the site provides comprehensive and up to date information on CSM programmes and concerts. In addition, for some performing groups, the site is a vehicle for communication to members, offering the means to subscribe to newsletters online and see past newsletters and upcoming events.

Unless otherwise indicated, CSM holds the copyright on all material on this website. The material can be used for personal and non-commercial purposes free of charge without the permission of the Christchurch School of Music, provided that the source and copyright status of the material is acknowledged. For some material on the site (e.g. photos) copyright is held by a third party. The Christchurch School of Music cannot grant permission for the use of this material.

Privacy

1. The CSM website can be viewed and its RSS feeds can be subscribed to without the need to disclose any personal information.
2. However if you subscribe to email newsletters, you will need to disclose your email address. Email addresses for those subscribing to email newsletters will be held by CSM. Unless required by law, we will not disclose those email addresses to anyone. We will only use personal information provided to us for the purpose of administering and evaluating the CSM website and improving our services.
3. The site contains photos of CSM students.  Unless explicit permission has been given, photos of children on this site are not accompanied by their names.
4. If you provide feedback on the site to CSM, that feedback will be sent to CSM website administrators. We may pass on relevant comments to other people within CSM who administer, have contributed content to, or are otherwise interested in, the CSM website.
5. Like just about every web site, we collect statistical information about your visit that (if we have the time!) we may use to help us improve the site. The information will be viewable by website administrators and CSM staff. The information includes the following but is unlikely to be traceable to you personally:
   • your IP address;
   • the search terms you used;
   • the pages you accessed on our website and the links you clicked on;
   • the date and time you visited the site;
   • the previous site you visited;
   • your operating system (e.g., Windows XP, Mac OSX); and
   • the type of web browser you use (e.g., Internet Explorer, Mozilla Firefox).
